In the aftermath of the blast, police officials wrote to Telegram Messenger seeking information about the channel ‘Justice League India.’ This channel reportedly shared CCTV footage of the explosion alongside a post featuring a threatening message, including a “Khalistan Zindabad” watermark. The post claimed that Khalistani operatives were “ready to strike anytime,” warning Indian authorities against silencing their voices.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Amit Goel stated, “It’s difficult to say anything at this stage… investigation is underway.” So far, police have found traces of potassium chlorate, hydrogen peroxide, and electrical wires at the blast site, suggesting the use of a crude bomb.
The incident has raised concerns amid escalating tensions between India and Canada over Khalistani activities. Police sources indicated that the Telegram message might be interpreted as a warning to authorities regarding ongoing investigations into pro-Khalistani separatist actions.
The police are examining all angles and have reached out to other social media platforms as part of their investigation. However, Telegram has yet to respond to the Delhi Police’s requests for information.
As investigations continue, the Delhi Police remain vigilant in their efforts to uncover the origins and motivations behind the attack, as well as to ensure the safety and security of the capital.
