Man Faces Legal Action for Unjustified Alarm Chain Pulling on Rajdhani Express in Nashik

On October 26, Central Railways filed a case against a man at Nashik Road station in Maharashtra for pulling the alarm chain without a valid reason. The incident took place on the down Rajdhani Express, train number 22221, around 6:44 pm on platform 2, causing the train to stop for three minutes.

Passenger Tapas Manindra Mohri (53) was traveling from Nashik to Mathura with his wife Kajal (47) and daughter Khushi (8). They were assisted by their friend Sanjeev Ratan Chand Pathariya (48), who had a platform ticket. As the train started moving, Sanjeev, unable to get off in time, pulled the alarm chain to stop the train.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) detained Sanjeev, who admitted to pulling the chain without a valid reason. A case has been filed against him under Section 141 of the Railway Act. Central Railways has reminded passengers not to pull the alarm chain without a genuine reason, as legal action can be taken in such cases.
