Panic in Rohini as Explosion Rocks CRPF School, No Injuries Reported

A massive explosion occurred near a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) school in Prashant Vihar, Rohini, Delhi, on Sunday, causing panic among local residents. The blast, which happened around 7:50 a.m., damaged the school’s wall, shattered the windows of parked cars, and destroyed nearby shop signboards.

Delhi Fire Services received a call about the explosion and promptly dispatched two fire engines to the scene. Fortunately, there was no fire and no reported injuries, allowing the fire service to return shortly after arrival.

In response to the incident, a police team cordoned off the area and called in a bomb detection squad along with sniffer dogs. Forensic teams and officers from the Delhi Police Special Cell are investigating the blast’s nature, with preliminary reports suggesting a crude bomb may be involved. The National Security Guard has also been informed and may send a team to the site.

Eyewitnesses described the explosion as loud enough to induce dizziness, with one reporting a thick cloud of smoke rising from the area. Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage to gather clues, and an underground sewage line is also being investigated as part of the inquiry.

This incident follows a series of bomb threats that recently disrupted air travel in the region, leading to over 70 flights being grounded or diverted. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the details surrounding this alarming event.
